On 28-9-2024, a Fire Mock Drill was conducted at Cynthia Sr. Sec School, organized by the Fire Department of Uttarakhand. The primary objective of this drill was to enlighten students about fire hazards, emergency procedures, and the importance of fire safety precautions in an engaging and educational manner.

The drill witnessed participation from students and faculty members of the school. The event was led by trained professionals from the Fire Department who provided hands-on experience and demonstrations of fire safety measures.

The session began with a presentation highlighting common fire hazards found in homes and schools, the causes of fires, and statistics on fire incidents. Firefighters demonstrated various firefighting techniques, including the proper use of fire extinguishers, the Stop, Drop, and Roll technique, and methods for safely evacuating a building during a fire.

Students participated in a simulated fire evacuation. They practiced moving quickly and calmly to designated assembly points, following the instructions of their teachers and firefighters.

The mock drill was deemed a success, as it not only enhanced the students awareness of fire hazards but also provided them with practical knowledge and skills to handle fire emergencies effectively. Feedback from both students and faculty was positive, with many expressing appreciation for the informative and hands-on approach of the fire department team.
