Cynthia Senior Secondary School, Haldwani, hosted an action-packed 7-a-side Inter-School Football Competition. Despite challenging weather conditions on the final day at Cynthia International School Haldwani, the spirit remained unwavering.
In an electrifying final match, Queen's Senior Secondary School clinched the Cynthia Football Cup 2023 with a spectacular 4-0 victory against Jas Govind School.
The semi-finals brought their own intense battles. BLM Academy faced off against Queen's, with Queen's securing a 2-0 victory and advancing to the finals. Jas Govind School secured their spot in the final by winning a tight match against Shivalik International School, with a score line of 1-0.
In the ultimate showdown between Queen's Senior Secondary School, Haldwani, and Jas Govind School, Queen's triumphed with a remarkable 4-0 score.
The award ceremony was graced by Dr. Jogendra Pal Singh Rautela, the Mayor of Haldwani-Kathgodam Municipality, who presented the winners and runners-up with the trophy and medals of Cynthia 7-a-Side Football Cup 2023. Individual players were honored with well-deserved medals, and certificates were bestowed upon all participating teams. Special accolades were also given to Krishna Chandola of Queen's School for the Golden Boot, Harshit Tripathi of Cynthia School as the Emerging Player, and Rahul Koranga of MVM as the Best Goalkeeper.
Adding to the excitement, a friendly match between the players of Cynthia International School and Cynthia Senior Secondary School was held, resulting in a victory for Cynthia International School after three well-placed penalties.
The event was graced by numerous dignitaries, including school principals, teachers, and students, along with the enthusiastic support of players and sports officials.
