To promote the rich heritage of the Kumaon region, Jan Sewa Samiti organised an enlightening awareness programme at Cynthia School on the conservation of the Kumaoni language and culture. The programme commenced with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, symbolising the beginning of a meaningful journey towards preserving our cultural roots. This was followed by a melodious group song presented by the students, setting a vibrant and cultural tone for the event. The members of Jan Sewa Samiti shared valuable insights into the significance of the Kumaoni language, traditions, customs, and values, emphasising the need to protect and preserve this priceless heritage for future generations. They encouraged students to take pride in their mother tongue and cultural identity while highlighting the role of the younger generation in keeping the rich legacy of Kumaon alive. The interactive session left the students inspired and delighted as they gained a deeper understanding of their cultural roots and the importance of preserving the unique traditions of the Kumaon region.
